So we all got to take in some pretty solid fireworks for Canada Day, and as Stampede went along you could see a few different displays every night. Consider those pyrotechnic shows very light warmups, because starting August 16 we’re getting the real deal.

GlobalFest Fireworks Festival 2018

The most explosive festival in Alberta will be making it’s triumphant return in mid-August, and with teams from the Ukraine, Spain, the Philippines, China, and, of course, Canada, will be competing for the hearts of all of the awestruck spectators.

Each country’s display will be unique and timed to a playlist so you can get the combination of big shiny sights, big loud booms, and some groovy tunes all at once. It’s sensory overload but for the sake of art and entertainment, which we think technically makes it better (we don’t really know, we’re not doctors).

Considering it’s an entire festival, we should probably give you the heads up that this huge multicultural celebration includes foods, arts and crafts vendors, exhibits, interactive displays, and even some live music and dancing.

With five opportunities over the course of ten days to hit this festival up you have zero excuse to miss out so, with that being said, we’ll see you there! For all your extra information on tickets, scheduling, and the event itself you can click right here.
